Eco-Jipe Safari - Ponta do Mel

In this region the backwoods reach the ocean and we can see incredible dunes and giant “falesias”.Fishing, agriculture, cattle raising and oil determinate the economical growth of the place. 1st day - Natal/ Sao Miguel do Gostoso (23 beaches during the trip, in a Jeep 4x4)
In the morning we departure towards Genipabu and its lagoons located among the dunes. We will follow through desert beaches which are very exotic. We will visit Cabo de Sao Roque, which is the nearest spot to the African Continent; Caraubas, gorgeous and wild, with huge coconut trees; Maracajau, the Brazilian Carib because of its marvelous corals and crystal waters, and Punau River among the dunes which is a very splendorous spot.
In Sao Miguel do Gostoso we will have a delicious lunch in company of friendly and surprising monkeys and we will watch the wonderful sunset in Praia dos Ponteiros.
Check in at Pousada dos Ponteiros or a similar one.
2nd day - Sao Miguel do Gostoso/ Praia do Marco/ Ponta do Mel (19 beaches, Salinas, Alagamar Desert and Rosado Dunes)
Driving along the beaches we will visit Caicara do Norte and Dunas dos Galos and enjoy its incomparable beauty. Then, we will get to the biggest Salinas in Brazil situated in Macau. There, besides the richness of the soil and the salt extraction, fishing in rivers and in the ocean is also a way of living. Afterwards we will go to Porto de Mangue, where there is an important colony of fishermen. We will follow our adventure towards the enchanting Ponta do Mel, where the backwoods reach the sea, and will enjoy the incredible dunes and giant “falesias” in Dunas do Rosado.

3rd day- Ponta do Mel
After breakfast, we will go for a walk in Ponta do Mel, one of the most beautiful beaches in the region. Its landscape is full of “falesias”, dunes, coconut trees oasis, fishing boats and an interesting village.
Fishermen, cowboys and farm workers all together in a kind of country side at the sea shore. The huge ocean mixes itself with the sky and gives the beach a paradise view. Still in the morning, we will go to the extreme west side of Ponta do Mel with its huge reddish “falesias”, typical vegetation of the “caatinga”, and animals of the “sertao”. At the top of the “falesias” we will visit a wild natural spot, very attractive, that sums up the joining of the woods and the ocean.
We will go back to the “pousada” for lunch.

4th day- Ponta do Mel/ Natal
After breakfast departure to Natal. |
