Foz de Iguaçú has one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls in the world; the waterfalls of Iguaçú are situated in a preserved area. They make an amazingly beautiful paradise full of animals. Certainly these waterfalls are one of the most spectacular sights of nature. |

Day 3 – Rio de Janeiro (Trip to Corcovado e “Pão de Azucar” – Sugar Loaf)
Leave hotel to go to Copacabana beach and Lake Rodrigo de Freitas, up to the Rebouças Tunnel that links the north and south zones of the city, cut through the middle by the “Maciço da Tijuca”. This Maciço da Tijuca is what makes Rio a special and unique city in the world with a National Park within its urban borders.
Arriving at the “Cosme Velho” neighbourhood, we will take a train that takes us to the summit of Corcovado, climbing from the base of the mountain to its final station 670 metres up, in 15 minutes. The top is reached by going up stairs that take us to the base of the Christ the Redeemer statue. We will have lunch in one of the famous BBQ restaurants in Rio de Janeiro.
Continuing our tour, we will pass by the beaches of São Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana, arriving at “Praia Vermelha” (red beach), the point of access to visit the “Pão de Açúcar” (Sugar Loaf). Due to the natural light, the best time to visit the Pão de Açúcar is in the afternoon. The climb is divided into two stages. At the first, we arrive at Morro da Urca and at the second, at the Pão de Açúcar itself.
At the Morro da Urca approximately 170m high, there is a restaurant, amphitheatre and a helicopter landing point for panoramic rides, and an exceptional view of the Yacht Club and the Enseada (inlet) de Botafogo. At the second stage at 270 metres: The Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf). The view takes us from the open sea with its beautiful beaches right up to the bay below alongside the city.

Day 5 – Rio de Janeiro / Foz de Iguaçú

Day 6 – Foz de Iguaçú (trip to waterfalls of Iguaçú on Brazilian side)
Leave hotel for Waterfalls of Iguaçú, situated 30 km from the city centre.
The trip starts at the Visitors Centre of the National Park of Iguaçú, and continues through the abundant vegetation of the park in the direction of the falls. The trail that descends to the falls offers an ample view of more that 240 different waterfalls. The footbridges penetrate into the drizzle of water from the “Garganta do Diabo” (Throat of the Devil), the highest of the point of the falls. These give an elevated panoramic view of the falls. The National Park of Iguaçu together with the Park of Argentina make up the most important tropical forest reserve of the southern hemisphere, declared a Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
